For every fundraising campaign, Snap! Raise opens a merchant account with WePay on behalf of coaches and group leaders. WePay, a payment processor owned by Chase Bank, securely processes credit card transactions and stores the funds until withdrawal.
To comply with regulations and protect against fraud, all Snap! Raise coaches/group leaders must go through the federally mandated “Know Your Customer” process. These regulations protect organizations, coaches, donors, and kids against fraudulent deposits and withdrawals.
